We want to respectfully acknowledge the Haudenosaunee, on whose ancestral

lands we now stand, and honor these "People o f the Longhouse" who have

stewarded this land throughout the generations.

We stand in solidarity with the indigenous struggle for the recognition of this Land

as theirs, and are committed to the work of dismantling the Doctrine o f Discovery.

It was the Haudenosaunee who gave u s the pattern of democracy on which our

country was founded, and we recognize with gratitude their influence on women’s suffrage.
