Onondaga County Board of Elections:

You can register in person at the Board of Elections Office or by mail. You may also register at any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, on any business day throughout the year

You can call the Board of Elections at (315) 435-8683 to request a voter application.

Print and complete the form, then sign and date it.

Mail or hand deliver Voter Registration Forms to: Onondaga County Board of Election 1000 Erie Boulevard, West Syracuse, New York 13204

ALL FORMS and APPLICATIONS MUST BE MAILED or HAND DELIVERED TO THE BOARD of ELECTIONS.

Registration applications can not be be faxed.

KEY DATES

Fall Primary Day - Tuesday, September 13, 2011 Polls open 12 Noon - 9:00 PM

General Election - Tuesday, November 8, 2011 Polls open 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM


IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER FOR THE SEPTEMBER PRIMARY REGISTRATION:

Mail registration must be postmarked no later than August 19th and received by the Board of Elections by August 24th. You may register in person at the Board of Elections up to August 19th.

Change of address from registered voters must be received by August 24th.

VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT: Last day to postmark application for ballot is September 6th. Last day to apply in person for ballot is September 12th. Last day to postmark ballot is September 12th (must be received by the Board of Elections by September 20th). Last day to deliver ballot in person to the Board of Elections is September 13th.

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION:

REGISTRATION: Mail registration must be received by the Board of Elections no later than October 8th and received by the Board of Elections no later than October 14th. You may register in person at the Board of Elections no later than October 14th.

Change of address from registered voters must be received by October 19th.

VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT: Last day to postmark application is October 1st. Last day to apply in person for ballot is November 7th. Last day to postmark ballot is November 7th (must be received by the Board of Elections by November 15th). Last day to deliver ballot in person is November 8th.
